RESTORE - ANALOGUE
Synchro has been restoring aged film records for many years. Custom technical developments and owned patents enable a reconstruction of old film stock in extremely high fidelity and without digital manipulation.
B/W processing machine (Calder with custom adaptation) allows us to reproduce the different image characteristics of the past. Wetgate and panel printing of (S-)8 mm, 9.5 mm, (S-) 16 mm and 35 mm formats shrunk up to 2.2% to 16 mm, 35 mm including Cinemascope (Bell & Howell, Oxberry)

Duplication of old „virage“ prints to color negative or master positive via the „Desmet“ process or via application of the classic virage technique, yet without any splice marks. A custom process was developed at Synchro Film called Synchro Tinting. (Funded by the City of Vienna by the ZIT - The Technology Agency of the City of Vienna ltd.)
